Northwoods Jambalaya

Serves 6-8 people, or just a few with some tasty leftovers. 


2 cups wild rice* 4 cloves garlic***
1 cup mushrooms* 1 handful greens***
1 carrot*** 1 jar canned tomato**
2 Bodin's Whitefish Fillets*** 1 jar stock**
3 shallots*** 1 can organic black beans

*local ingredient  **preserved at home (Bayfield Foods summer ingredient) ***Bayfield Foods winter ingredient



1 tbs paprika
2 tbs chili powder
1 tbs celery seed
1 tbs thyme
1 tbs oregano
1 tbs basil
2 tbs lemon juice


Once all of your "cooked" ingredients are thouroughly cooked, mix them with your raw ingredients in a large cooking vessel. When greens are tender, slowly mix in spices to ensure full flavor. Serve warm!
